Payment Methods

Manage credit cards, promotional credits, and view payment transactions.

Overview

Xelon HQ supports payment processing through Braintree. You can store payment methods (credit/debit cards and PayPal), manage promotional credits, and manually pay invoices from the billing dashboard.

Supported Payment Methods

Method Description
Credit / Debit Card Visa, Mastercard, and other major cards. Processed securely through Braintree.
PayPal Link your PayPal account through the Braintree payment form.
Prepaid Credits Account credits applied via promo codes. Automatically deducted from daily invoices when available.

Adding a Payment Method

Payment methods are stored securely by Braintree (a PayPal service). Your card or PayPal details are never stored directly on Xelon HQ servers.

Navigate to Payment Methods

Go to Billing & Reports > Billing Details in the sidebar, then locate the Payment Methods section.

Add a payment method

Click Add Payment Method. The Braintree payment form appears with options for credit/debit card or PayPal.

Complete the form

For cards: enter your card number, expiration date, and CVV. For PayPal: click the PayPal button and authorize the connection through PayPal's login flow.

Save

Click Save to store the payment method in your account vault for future use.

Paying an Invoice

Invoices are paid manually from the platform. When an invoice is ready for payment:

  1. Navigate to Billing & Reports > Billing Details.
  2. Open the invoice you want to pay.
  3. Click Pay and select your stored payment method (card or PayPal).
  4. Confirm the payment. The invoice status will update to Paid once the transaction is processed.
Payments are not automatic

Storing a payment method does not enable automatic payments. You must manually initiate payment for each invoice. The only exception is prepaid credits, which are automatically deducted from daily invoices when a credit balance is available.

Managing Credits and Promo Codes

Promotional credits can be applied to your account to offset usage charges.

Applying a promo code

Navigate to Billing & Reports > Billing Details, locate the Payment Methods section, and click Apply Promo Code. Enter the code and click Apply. The credit amount will be added to your account balance.

Automatic credit deduction

If your account has a credit balance and your organization uses daily invoicing, credits are automatically deducted to cover invoice amounts. This is the only form of automatic payment in Xelon HQ.

Viewing Transactions

The transaction history shows all payment events associated with your account, including the date, type, amount, status, and associated invoice.
